Made with Love Dog Treats
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups spelt flour (see Notes)
- 1/4 cup Honest Kitchen dehydrated food
- 1 1/8 teaspoon aluminum-free baking powder
- 1/4 cup natural peanut butter
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, dehydrated Honest Kitchen food and baking powder until combined.
- Add in egg and peanut butter and mix into the dry ingredients.
- Add water slowly to the rest of the ingredients, stirring until dough forms.
- Roll dough out on a floured countertop to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and place on cookie sheets. Pierce with fork to avoid air pockets in cookies.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Let cool on cooling racks for 2-3 hours. Place in airtight container or Ziploc bag in fridge or freezer until needed.
- Share your results on social media with #chucklovesthk
Notes:
- Make sure xylitol is not an ingredient in your peanut butter, as it can be lethal if a pet eats it. Use a natural or organic peanut butter that only contains peanuts.
- Wash cookie cutter before first use.
- We recommend spelt, but all-purpose flour or all-purpose gluten-free flour should work.
- If you have a peanut-free house, use almond butter instead of peanut butter.
