QUESTION:

Can you recommend a canned cat food for a 16 year old male cat? He is healthy except for hairball challenges. I don't want to spend more than $1.39 a can. He also eats 1/4 cup of dry food a day made by Flint River Ranch and I want to keep buying this brand for dry.

Also, do you have non-scented clump cat litter in refillable pails/containers? How much does that cost?

ANSWER:

Hi Char,

There are several canned cat foods that would fit in with what you are looking for. The first that comes to mind is BFF(Best Feline Friends). They have several different varieties and the 5.5oz. size is $1.19 a can. This is a grain-free food that is made in a human grade facility.

Other brands at $1.39 or less include: Merrick, Before Grain, Felidae, Natural Balance, Eagle Holistic Select, Science Diet, Nutro, NutriSource and Precise - all of which are great foods. Visit any of our Chuck & Don's locations and any of our Team Members will be able to help you find a canned food that will work for your cat.

As far as the litter, Chuck & Don's does not carry any of the refillable pails or containers. We do carry some wonderful cat litter though: Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat, Tidy Cat and Arm & Hammer to name just a few. A Team Member would be able to help you on that as well.

Hope this helps!
