| QUESTION:
I use frozen Bil Jac for "Re Call" Training with my Mini Aussie. My 7-week old male rescued kitten, Taz, goes nuts over the stuff. Is it ok or unhealthy to use the Bil Jac Frozen food as a treat for the kitten? |
| ANSWER:
Hi Reno, Glad to hear that your kitten loves the Bil-Jac raw food. Raw food is a good food choice for both cats and dogs. I'm sure you are aware that Bil-Jac raw food is intended for dogs. Looking at the ingredients it does not list taurine, which is required in a cat's diet. It may be fine to supplement your kitten's diet with a treat of the Bil-Jac raw food, but I would advise against feeding it as a meal. There are several raw food products on the market intended for cats. Chuck & Don's would welcome you coming into one of our stores to speak to a Team Member who could assist you in selecting a raw food that is formulated for cats, if you are interested. Thank you for submitting your question.
