My cat has been eating Natural Balance products for about 3 years now, except when the product was temporarily recalled during the melamine crisis. It took care of her food allergy problem. I read on their website that they changed the duck formula for both dogs and cats and there are some complaints people have posted on the internet about cats and dogs that started using the new formula throwing up and dogs especially having loose stools. What sort of changes have your customers noticed in their pets? Our cat seems more lethargic and is scratching and biting herself more since we purchased the latest bag of duck and green pea. Thank you for your question about the Natural Balance Duck Formula changes. The formula change took place about 6 months ago when they removed the Duck Meal from their Dog and Cat Diets and added more fresh Duck & Pea protein.

In speaking with some of our team members they have not had any customer complaints about this issue. With regard to the lethargic behavior and your cat scratching and biting herself I would return the latest bag that you purchased to our store and replace it with a fresh bag and if you still do not see a change maybe you should try a new formula. The knowledgeable staff in our stores will be happy to assist you.

In the meantime I have had our Food Buyer contact the Natural Balance Representative and informed him of your problem.
